President of the World Health Tourism Council, MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, in his message published on the occasion of World Health Day, hailed the call made by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization, who called on all people to say ‘my health is my right’ on this important day.
President of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC), National Unity Party (UBP) MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, in his message published on the occasion of World Health Day, pointed out that although “health is defined as a human right” in the constitutions of 140 countries, billions of people still cannot access this right today.
Pointing out that World Health Day creates an opportunity to remember that health is the most precious treasure in life and the common right of people, Savaşan hailed the call made by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), who called on all people to say ‘my health is my right’ on this important day. At the end of his message, Savaşan said, “As the World Health Tourism Council, we will continue to do our part to contribute to improving access to healthcare services in the world.”.

World Health Day is an important opportunity to remind us all that health is the most precious treasure of our lives and a common human right.
The constitutions of 140 countries recognize “health as a human right”, yet this right remains inaccessible for billions of people today.
On this important day, I would like to salute the call made by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), who called on all people to say “my health is my right” and underline that we will continue to do our part as the World Health Tourism Council to contribute to improving access to healthcare in the world.
